La Fender Musical Instruments Corporation è uno dei più famosi marchi nel mondo dei costruttori di chitarre, bassi elettrici, piano elettrici ed amplificatori, fondata nel 1946 da Leo Fender.
La sua sede principale è situata a Scottsdale, Arizona ed i principali siti di produzione si trovano: a Corona (California), OCONUS manufacturing facilities in Ensenada (Messico), in Giappone, in Corea e in Cina dove sono prodotti gli strumenti della serie Squier e della nuova gamma "Fender Modern Player".

Fender Stratocaster
La Fender Stratocaster, informalmente anche Strat o, in Italia, Strato, è una chitarra elettrica solid-body (priva di cassa armonica) ideata da Leo Fender negli anni cinquanta e tuttora prodotta dalla Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. Assieme alla Gibson Les Paul è considerata la chitarra elettrica per antonomasia, per la sua popolarità e la sua diffusione, come per l'influenza esercitata sul panorama musicale e sull'immaginario collettivo.
